Star of "How I Met Your Father" Francia Raisa revealed the details of her kidney donation that she kept behind closed doors last year for World Kidney Day.

Francia Raisa's latest TV project sees her portraying Valentina for the Hulu "How I Met Your Mother" spinoff series "How I Met Your Father." Her character is a part of the title character, Sophie's friend group.

In the show, Sophie (Hilary Duff) navigates her life and love with help from her close friend group; Valentina (Raisa), Jesse (Chris Lowell), Ellen (Tien Tran), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), and Sid (Suraj Sharma).

Before landing the Hulu show, Raisa featured in numerous TV shows and movies after starting her career on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Bring It On: All Or Nothing."

More recently, Raisa has featured in "Grown-ish," the spinoff show of "Black-ish," in which she plays Ana Torres. She also featured in a few episodes of "Dear White People" and "The Mindy Project."

The "Life-size 2" actress is not only a talented star but also a very caring, generous, and giving friend. In 2017, she donated her liver to her close friend Selena Gomez.

The "Come & Get it" singer revealed she underwent a kidney transplant as a part of her treatment for lupus, an autoimmune disease. At the time, Raisa shared she was "beyond grateful" that she could save a life and, in the process, change her own.

Later, in honor of World Kidney Day 2021, Raisa shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed and admitted she kept her experience of the donation process private but was now ready to share and use her platform to raise awareness for kidney disease.

Gomez then retweeted Raisa's thread and thanked her friend for the "blessing," and expressed that she would be "forever grateful" for "The Cutting Edge" actress.

The friends first met after Disney and ABC Family (currently Freeform) took stars from their shows to visit a children's hospital together. Raisa explained, "Selena and I were in the same group, and we just clicked."

It seems Raisa has her professional life and friendships taken care of. However, that does not mean "The Secrets of Emily Blair" actress has no time for her love life.

Her last known relationship was with Christian Adkins, whom she dated from 2017 to 2019. In 2020, she shared she was thinking of joining a dating app. However, it seems she is still happily single at the moment.
